Großes und frühes Polarisations-Mikroskop von Gundlach in Berlin, voll Messing, original zaponiert, ca. 1865. Höhe 32 cm, 3 nummerierte Okulare (I, II, II), ein zu- sätzliches Okular mit verstellbaren Lichteinlaß; nur 1 signiertes Objektiv, eigentümlicher 4fach-Revolver, Grobeinstellung, Feineinstellung hinten unter der Säule (sichelförmiges Stativunterteil); dieses Bauprinzip hat Seibert später fortgeführt; Polarisator, Analisator mit Mikrometereinteilung; Tisch mit Mikrometereinteilung; Kondensorhülse in Schwalbenschwanzführung mit einem Hebel verstellbar; Kippstativ; sehr schöne Signatur auf dem Tubus "Gundlach Berlin No. 312"; mechanisch und optisch gut, Erhaltung gut, schöner großer liegender Kasten; mit nummerierter Vergrößerungstabelle.

Very rare compound polarization microscope from Gundlach, fully made of brass, ori- ginal lacquered, hight 12,5" ( 32 cm), 3 numbered oculars, 1 signed objective, rotating quadruple nosepiece, rack and pinion coarse focusing, fine focusing beneath the pillar; early mechanical stage, polarizer, analizer with micrometer; mechanical and optical good, condition good (the microscope retains all its original lacquer, some minor spot- ting, mainly on the base,), mechanics work well, a rare instrument with nearly all accessories in a beautiful fitted mahogany box. E. Gundlach produced less than 1.000 microscopes; because of economic problems he sold his firm in 1872 and went to the USA; he worked some time for Bausch & Lomb Rochester N. Y.
